DRAFT :- 

    Reducing the Linear density of material by passing the successive pair of the rollers roating at higher speeds. This process include the silver passing over the rollers. The roller rotates speed faster than older one that means front speed is higher than middle roller middle roller speed is higher than back roller. 

  • Break draft
  • Main draft
  • Total draft

Thin down the material is called as draft. 

Surface speed of delivery roller / Surface speed of feed roller

Delivery hank / Feed hank

Break draft :-

    The break draft is in the range between the 1.03 to 2.03.

Surface speed of 2nd roller / Surface speed of 3rd roller

Main draft :-

Surface speed of Front roller / Surface speed of 2nd roller

Total draft :-

Break draft + Main draft = Total draft
