YARN CLEARER INFORMATION

YARN CLEARER INFORMATION

1.Winding speed should be around 1250 meters/ min

2. Machines with tension management is preferred

3. Clearer settings should be as close as possible. Loepfe  Yarn master setting is given below

N -4.0 (nep) : DS-2.0 (short) : LS-1.6 (short) : DL-1.18 (long) : LL-40 : (long) -DS-14%(thin) : -DL-40(thin)

Since Loepfe has a facility of class clearing. "C"s to be added in such a way that the following faults which are

displayed in Loepfe class clearing should be cleared.

A4,A3,B4,B3, B2(50%),C1,C2,C3,C4,D1,D2,D3,D4,E,F,G,H1(50%),H2,I1,I2

4. Count channel setting should be less than 7%

5. Setting for cluster faults should be set such that, if a yarn produced without bottom apron, or damaged rubber

cots is fed, it should be cut by the clearer

6. Long thick faults in the cone yarn should be zero

7. Long thin faults should be zero

8. If the waxing attachment is below the clearer, the clearer should be cleaned once in a day

9. Splice strength should be more than 75% of yarn strength

10. Splice appearance should be good and all the splicers should be checked at-least once in a week

11. Good quality wax should be used

• wax pick up should be around 0.1%

• uniform application of wax to ensure uniform coefficient of friction (0.125 to 0.15)

12.Uniform moisture in the cones is important, because coefficient of friction varies as a function of moisture

13. All wax rollers should rotate properly

14.Repeaters should be as low as possible, because this will affect the package quality

15. It is advisable to produce cones with 1.8 to 2.4 kgs

16. Yarn tension in winding should not be very high

17. Imperfection increase between ring frame and winding should not be more than 30% for cotton combed yarns

RKM

RKM INFORMATION This can be expressed by the “Length of yarn in km” at which yarn will break of its own weight”. This is equivalent to breaking load in g/tex. RKM is the short expression for “Reisskilometer” – “Breaking-kilometre”, which is an unit out of date. E.g.: a Cotton-yarn with 15 RKM means, it would break of its own weight, if you wind off 15 km of the yarn and hang it up in 15 km. Nowadays it is common practice, to use the unit Centi-Newton per Tex (cN/Tex) or gram-force per Tex (gf/Tex). RKM and cN/Tex or gf/Tex are practically the same (a slight difference would be there)   SINGLE YARN STRENGTH (Breaking force) :  This is the force required to break a strand of single yarn. It is expressing Centi-Newton (cN).     STRENGTH (Tenacity) : The Tensile Strength expressed as force per unit linear density is called Tenacity. This is normally expressed as gram force per tex (gf/tex).   CSP (Count Strength Product) : CSP, the bundle strength...

HOW TO CALCULATE YARN DIAMETER

HOW TO CALCULATE YARN DIAMETER     The diameter of  yarn can be calculated by 1divded 28 Square root of Count is called as Diameter of yarn in Per inch. Example :-      Count - 20s & 40s Formula:- 1/28 Square root of  Count = Diameter of inch 28Square root of  20 = 125.22 1/125.22 = 0.007986 Per inch 0.007986 x 25.4 = 0.203 So the diameter of yarn is 0.203 Formula:- 1/28 Square root of  Count = Diameter of inch 28Square root of  40 = 177.088 1/177.088 = 0.005647 Per inch 0.005647  x  25.4 = 0.203 So the diameter of yarn is 0.143 Then 1Divded 28 Square root of count why we apply Here?

Spinning mill Questions Part - 2

1. What is fiber? Ans:  Fiber or fiber is classes of materials that are continuous filaments or are in discrete elongated pieces, similar to lengths of thread. They are very important in the biology of both plants and animals, for holding tissues together. 2. What is textile fiber? Ans:   Textile fiber  has some characteristics which differ between fiber to Textile fiber. Textile fiber can be spun into a yarn or made into a fabric by various methods including weaving, knitting, braiding, felting, and twisting. The essential requirements for fibers to be spun into yarn include a length of at least 5 millimeters, flexibility, cohesiveness, and sufficient strength. Other important properties include elasticity, fineness, uniformity, durability, and luster. 3. What is yarn? Ans:  Yarn is a long continuous length of interlocked fibers, suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, crocheting, knitting, weaving, embroidery, and rope making. 4. Flow chart of Carde...
