 SPAN LENGTH :-

    Span length is parameter are based on the length of fiber. It measured at any random point on the fiber. Only partial length of fiber is considered as while computing span length. Span length are fiber EXTENSION distance. Not fiber length.

2.5 % SPAN LENGTH :-

    2.5% Span length is the distance 2.5% of the fiber extended from the clamp where they are caught at random along their length. This length closely agree with stable length as determined by American classers.
