CARDING MACHINE OBJECT AND PARTS DESCRITION

PARTS OF CARDING MACHINE :-

Chute feed Duct (DFK)direct feed for Carding
Feed Roller
Licker-in
SFL(Stationary Flat Licker-in)
Cylinder
Flats
SFD(Stationary Flat Doffer)
Doffer
Delivery trumpet
Sliver can

OBJECT OF CARDING :-

This is a second process of spinning mill. Here we remove Trash, Neps etc...Straightening the fiber and convert Lap to sliver for further process. Open the cotton tufts individual fibers.

CUTE FEED DUCT :-

Nowadays all cotton mill having chute feed technology but some old mill using Lap feed (MANUAL FEED). The opened cotton material is dropped from blowroom to chute feed duct with the help of Blowing fan in blowroom. The duct feed the cotton tuft evenly to the card feed roller via feed plate.

FEED ROLLER :-

Normally Two feed rollers are used in carding. One is opening the cotton it’s placed over the conveyor belt. Another one is used to feed the material to licker-in.

LICKER-IN :-

Licker-in is a roller having wire point is used to opening cotton and to remove trash lint.

SFL :-

SFL is placed in cylinder near licker-in. Each SFL having waste plate and knife . SFL waste plate and knife is fitter adjust setting device. If u need to take more trash we adjust waste plate setting close to open. But knife is reversible of waste plate if u need to reduce trash we adjust setting close to open.

CYLINDER AND FLATS :-

Cylinder and Flats here the major job done in carding they both have wire points rotates opposite direction cotton material travels in between the two parts. Here Nep removal job is done.

SFD :-

SFD is placed in cylinder near Doffer Each SFD having also waste plate and knife. Waste plate and Knife setting is same as above mentioned SFL.

DOFFER :-

Doffer take off the fiber from cylinder wires and condense them so that they constitute a coherent web.

DELIVERY TRUMPET :-

After Doffer web formation created and pass through a delivery trumpet to convert sliver formation. One more work was done on in trumpet measures delivery sliver thickness and variations and give to communication draft control unit. Draft control unit control feed rolls speed deepens upon delivery slivers thickness variation.

SLIVER CAN :-

Finally the above process done and then we make card sliver to the next process for BREAKER DRAWING.

RKM

RKM INFORMATION This can be expressed by the “Length of yarn in km” at which yarn will break of its own weight”. This is equivalent to breaking load in g/tex. RKM is the short expression for “Reisskilometer” – “Breaking-kilometre”, which is an unit out of date. E.g.: a Cotton-yarn with 15 RKM means, it would break of its own weight, if you wind off 15 km of the yarn and hang it up in 15 km. Nowadays it is common practice, to use the unit Centi-Newton per Tex (cN/Tex) or gram-force per Tex (gf/Tex). RKM and cN/Tex or gf/Tex are practically the same (a slight difference would be there)   SINGLE YARN STRENGTH (Breaking force) :  This is the force required to break a strand of single yarn. It is expressing Centi-Newton (cN).     STRENGTH (Tenacity) : The Tensile Strength expressed as force per unit linear density is called Tenacity. This is normally expressed as gram force per tex (gf/tex).   CSP (Count Strength Product) : CSP, the bundle strength...

LOW RKM REASONS

LOW RKM REASONS TO START WITH SLIGHTLY RICHER MIXING AND BACK TO USUAL MIXING% GRADUALLY. AVOID BYPASSING OF THE BEATERS. CHANGING OF THE CARD LINES TO BE AVOIDED . TO START WITH HIGHER NOIL% AND REDUCE GRADUALLY TO USUAL    IF REQUIRED. SOFT WASTE ADDING TO BE AVOIDED FOR FIRST 3 OR 4 MIXINGS. HOW TO REDUCE CLASSIMATE FAULTS

REDUCING CLASSIMATE FAULTS 1) Count wise online Classmate classes wise results to be record on daily basis 2) Before allotting this work we want to educate quality investigator about Classmate faults and also class wise reasons we want to explain. While noting time investigator has highlight which class is having continuous higher side and same one communicate to that concern dept with reasons 3) We want to fix which classes we want to reduce 4) On daily basis monitoring we can get idea in which zone we r having problem and which zone we want to improve the work methods and process  5) Based on trend analysis we want to inspect process auditing and find out practical problems and also Training awareness we want to give to operators for reducing some classes  6) We can take process trials based on Online Classmate results  7) Regularly we want to compare daily Online results Vs Trial sample results for knowing Where we are Note: Choosing of quality investigator is import...
